Women’s basketball defeats Sweden Again

PALLAZETTO DELLO SPORT, ROME, ITALY, July 31, 2001 – It was down the wire, undecided until the last 1.22 seconds, but in the end USA prevailed again, winning the Gold from the team they defeated by four points four years ago in Denmark at the 1997 Deaflympics. USA’s victory this time was by a margin of two points, 60-58.
